Food & Wine ’14 “Flash Report”: Belgium

We really enjoyed the Beer-braised Beef, Potato, and Leek Waffle served at Belgium’s “waffle house”.

Also home of a Belgium Waffle with Chocolate Ganache and a Belgium Waffle with Berry Compote, Mrs. All in WDW clearly prefer Belgium’s savory version!

Again, it all comes down to what you want to spend your money, my friends.  You know what you like.  We like beer-braised beef!

Food & Wine ’14 “Flash Report”: France

Now, France did see us for a brief visit.  We gave their Braised Short Ribs a second chance.

In 2013, I had said, “Wasn’t as, pull-apart, fork tender as I had expected.”  After this year’s sample, I commented, “Well, it was pull-apart fork tender this year.  Yay!

In the end, Mrs. All in WDW and I agreed … it’s just meat, potatoes, and gravy.  So, for us, it was just OK.”

Translated?  There are dishes at the festival that are much more worthy of your hard-earned dollars.

Food & Wine ’14 “Flash Report”: Ireland

As expected, we saw a lot of Guests diving into Ireland’s Lobster and Seafood Fisherman’s Pie.  Alas, it wasn’t on our menu this year.

And, when it comes to cheese plates … well, let’s just say that’s way too mundane for us.  In other words, we passed on Ireland in 2014.

“Wishing” for “Hallo”Wishes?!

Hey, Food & Wine!  Pardon this short interruption for a minute or two, eh?

We’ll get back to the rest of your menus – as well as the unveiling of the All in WDW 2014 Epcot International Food & Wine Festival FINAL Top 25! – quickly enough!

My friends, on our last trip, Mrs. All in WDW and I got the chance to witness HalloWishes (from very afar) for the first time.  Wow!  What a phenomenal fireworks display!  Have you had the chance to see it?  I hope so!

Anyway, the experience put me to mind of some of my favorite pictures.  Up until enjoying HalloWishes, I didn’t think there was anything better than watching Wishes from the Top of the World Lounge.

Crowning Disney’s Bay Lake Tower, the Top of the World Lounge provides an outstanding vantage point for seeing “Wishes” come true.

Thanks to Rick Howard of Kingdom Magic Vacations, we were able to enjoy that experience late last year.  Thanks, again, Rick!

Food & Wine ’14 “Flash Report”: Greece

The only Greek item that caught our palate this year was their Griddled Cheese.  Oh, we had their Chicken Gyro last year.  It was quite good, but, sadly, it couldn’t fit its way onto our 2014 menu.

I saw another Guest sampling the Vegetarian Moussaka.  I’m glad I didn’t try it.  From what I saw, “vegetarian” was another way to scream, “Loaded with mushrooms!”  That wouldn’t have sit well with this on-an-off mushroom “hater”.
