Food & Wine ’14 “Flash Report”: China

Its hard to believe that Epcot’s Food & Wine Festival still has one month to run!  Yum!

The party doesn’t end until November 10th, my friends.  Are you going to be lucky enough to attend?  I hope so!

If you DO go, take my advice.  Avoid China’s Beijing Roasted Duck Steamed Bun.

Unless, of course, you like hoisin sauce.  If so, this might be the dish for you.  For me, it was way too sweet.

Our first sample of 2013’s All in WDW “champion” fell a little bit flat.  In other words, the Mongolian Beef Steamed Bun lacked some ‘zing’.

It took a second serving, covered with a solid dose of Sriracha, to rescue this dish from Food & Wine obscurity.

My advice?  Of the two steamed buns, pick the beef.  But, when you do, use the hot sauce.  You don’t have to add a lot … but, it does need the extra spice!
