Dining Recon: Chef Art Smith’s Homecomin’ [Photo Explosion!]

Howdy, my friends!  Welcome to May!  I can’t believe we’re approaching mid-year already!

I’ve been looking forward to posting this particular dining review for quite some time.  I simply haven’t had a chance to put the pieces together up until now!

Here in Atlanta, we have a restaurant called Southern Art.  Named after its owner – Art Smith – I’ve been able to lunch there on several occasions.  Pretty good spot!

Well, you can imagine how excited I was to try its sister – Homecomin’ – on our most-recent visit to The World.

Incredibly popular from Day #1, this restaurant’s “farm-to-fork cuisine showcasing Florida’s fresh flavors” has been, yet another, great addition to the Disney Springs dining scene.

Homecomin’ sports a bright and open environment.  The staff is informative and friendly.  The food is outstanding!  You need to add it to your “To-Do” list.

Folks?  Take a few minutes to “come home”.  Take in the decor, salivate over the food, enjoy “Homecomin’ – The Photo Tour!”

Here’s the menu! Some GREAT choices here!

A closer look at the Main Plates. Fried Chicken & Doughnuts?!

We “stole” this pic of Art’s Thigh High Chicken Biscuits from another Guest. A $13 Starter, they look GREAT!

A picture ALSO snatched from another table, I’m not quite sure what we have here. Looks delicious, though!

One last “theft”, folks. I’m not sure, but I’m going to guess this is Shine Cake –
a slice of Art’s irresistible moonshine cake!

Yes, my friends, we DID eat.  In fact, I chose the Braised Short Ribs.  I subbed all veggies for the mashed potatoes.  It was absolutely delightful!

Finally, Mrs. All in WDW really enjoyed Art’s Famous Fried Chicken.
