Dining Recon: Planet Hollywood Observatory!

My friends, visiting Planet Hollywood Observatory on a Saturday night was an experience.  How so?  Let’s just say it was bedlam!

OK.  So, maybe that’s a little bit harsh, but the place, itself, is huge.  The crowd?  It seemed even larger!

Some time back, Mrs. All in WDW and I had the chance to meet up with some dear friends for dinner.  Let me tell you, we all had Guy Fieri’s burgers on our minds.

Before we get to those, however, let’s take a look at what little I was able to grab of Hollywood’s massive decor …

And, how about those burgers?  Well, salivate over these …

Featuring Grilled Pastrami, I couldn’t resist trying The Mayor of Flavortown.

Ever a healthier eater than me, Mrs. All in WDW selected the Cajun Chicken.

Also healthy, one of our friends chose the Tatted Up Turkey.

The best choice, however, was Guy’s award-winning Bacon Mac-n-Cheese. GREAT burger!

What were our verdicts?  Frankly, we all decided that Observatory merits at least one visit.  Our conclusion, though, was that the experience wasn’t worth enduring the semi-controlled chaos.

The burgers?  They were definitely good.  They weren’t “Earth-shattering”, though.  Tasty, for sure, but not really overly remarkable.  Sorry, Guy.

Ultimately, with all of the new venues that Disney Springs has to offer these days, Planet Hollywood wouldn’t be at the top of our list of recommendations.

Our suggestion?  Visit once … just for the experience.  After that?  Go somewhere else – Paddlefish, The BOATHOUSE, Morimoto Asia, etc.
