The voters have spoken! The All in WDW Readers’ Favorite WDW Moderate Resort is Port Orleans – French Quarter!
By defeating its sister resort – Riverside – by a tally of 36 to 24, French Quarter, as promised, will become one of Mrs. All in WDW and my destinations in 2013. Bank on it! By the way, since I’ve never stayed there, this pic is courtesy of Disney’s web site.
Meanwhile, since I turned this finale into a “double-coronation”, I’m pleased to announce that a 38 to 25 victory wins Disney’s Art of Animation Resort the honor of being the All in WDW Readers’ Favorite WDW Value Resort. Now, this shot – of AoA’s lobby – I did take myself.
It’s been a bittersweet weekend. I’m pleased that we crowned two more “favorites”. I’m elated that we added two more countries – Mexico and Denmark – to The World of All in WDW … in just the last two days! In fact, someone from Italy stopped by to represent a week or so ago as well. It’s exciting! Overall, this endeavor has been, and remains, a blast.
However, I can’t help but feel like I’ve let some of All in WDW’s fans down a little. Oh, I know I haven’t done that personally, but take a look at the vote totals. Each category finished with about 60 votes. We had been closing our polls with vote totals in the 150s or higher. To the 60 or so of you who voted, I extend my sincere and warmest gratitude, but the reason I feel blue is because I feel like 100 or so of our friends didn’t get to participate.
This is the first poll we’ve run without posting a link or announcement on Touring Plans’ Lines chat. That fact clearly impacted poll participation. I hope the other 100 or more of our friends re-discover us. In the meantime, if you haven’t done so already, bookmark All in WDW into your favorites, follow me on Twitter (@Rasoutlaw), “Like” All in WDW’s Facebook Page, or sign up to follow the site by e-mail (see the right margin).
The polls WILL continue, and we will crown more Favorites, everyone. I promise! I hope you’re here to participate!
Thanks for your support! -Bob
