Like an epic March Madness battle, after which this week’s poll was designed, four attractions entered this Disney-obsessed arena, and only one emerged with the crown.  It is Splash!  Call it the “king of the mountains”, but you also have to, henceforth, refer to it as the All in WDW Readers’ Favorite Magic Kingdom Attraction!

Yesterday, after 762 page views provided by 613 distinct visitors to the web site and a whopping 422 votes, we ‘made it so’!  And, what a shocking result it was … to myself and Mrs. All in WDW, at least.  Why?  Just consider the data …

Prior to yesterday’s finale, Haunted Mansion had garnered 583 votes through the first three days of voting.  On the other hand, Splash Mountain had only received 401 votes of support.  In Round 3, Haunted actually beat Splash by a tally of 130 to 98!  Pirates of the Caribbean entered the final battle after having netted 450 votes in the first three rounds.  Big Thunder had received 448!  I think it is safe to say that, not only would Splash have been the ‘under-dog’ between it and the Mansion, it would have been the lowest “seed” of the four!  Wow!  Way to fight the odds, Splash!  You must have had Brer Rabbit grab some pretty fancy tricks out of his bag to pull this off!

When it comes to the week, your support was nothing short of astounding, exceptional, extraordinary, fantastic, marvelous, outstanding, remarkable, sensational, unparalleled, wondrous, and any other synonym for phenomenal you can name!  You cast over 5,000 votes this week!  5,403 votes, to be exact.  In comparison, we cast 2,151 votes when we elected Illuminations the “ruler” of Epcot.  898 votes took ‘Terror’ to the top of the ‘Tower’.  And, our poll to elect Everest was a mere 864 votes ‘tall’.  You guys blew the doors off this week!  THANK YOU, all!!!

In addition, this was a huge week for us when it came to growth in support.  Since this past Monday’s site update, All in WDW added:

• 16 Facebook “Likes”
• 23 Twitter followers
• 10 new countries to “The World of All in WDW”
• 2,756 page views to the site

In closing, remember what I said yesterday … Splash and Mansion will return.  Look for it!  Sometime in the near future, eight attractions will enter ‘the octagon’ and only one will emerge to be chosen as the All in WDW Readers’ Favorite WDW Attraction.  Hmm.  When will that be?
