Opened on June 1, 1989, Disney’s Typhoon Lagoon is one of Walt Disney World’s two heavily-themed water parks.
Also home of the world’s largest outdoor wave pool, its “legend” (or locale) is of the aftermath of a typhoon that has demolished a beautiful tropical paradise. In fact, the park is littered with “imagineered” debris … including destroyed and broken ships, fishing gear, and the like.
The centerpiece of the park is “Mount Mayday” – a mountain that erupts in a 50-foot geyser of water every half hour. Impaled on the top of “Mount Mayday” is a shrimp boat. What is the name of that boat?
