Wow! That was about as unanimous as we’re ever likely to get! Yes, impaled on the top of ”Mount Mayday” is a shrimp boat named Miss Tilly. You guys certainly know your Typhoon Lagoon!
It is confession time for me, however. We’re not big water park people. I’m reluctant to admit this, but Typhoon Lagoon and Blizzard Beach have never really hit any of our itineraries. We just never felt it was worth the extra ticket cost, to tell the truth.
I would love to hear your feedback, though. What draws you to …
… either water park?
When it comes to WDW’s “one-time ski resort that has melted into a watery wonderland”, is it “one of the world’s tallest and fastest waterslides” – Mount Gushmore – that makes Blizzard Beach a ‘must do’?
In Typhoon Lagoon, can you really “[s]norkel with sharks, stingrays, and tropical fish in [a] coral reef …” – as reported on Disney’s web site? Is that the big attraction? Or, is it simply the excitement of Crush ‘n’ Gusher – the water coaster where one to two person rafts are propelled by water jets through hairpin turns and thrilling drop-offs?
Let me know via Reddit, Facebook, Twitter, or in a comment on this very post. Convince me to plunk down my extra $55.38 for a ‘1-Day Water Park Ticket’ and test my courage on Blizzard’s ‘Summit Plummet’!
In the meantime, here are a few polls to help you pass along some more of your wisdom.
