Scoop! New ‘Maya Grill’ Menu!

Scoop!! Well, I’m thinking that this might be a ‘scoop’. My ‘radar’ is usually tuned in to catch breaking Coronado Springs news, and the Disney dining blog-o-sphere hasn’t seemed to have caught on to this tid-bit as yet.

Maya Grill has a new menu, and according to one Cast Member, they’ve gone “Tex-Mex”! Originally not well-received by the staff, it seems to be pretty popular with guests.

In our many visits to Disney’s Coronado Springs Resort, Maya Grill seemed destined to be nothing more than the resort’s little-visited and much under-appreciated table service restaurant. Guests appeared to prefer the more inexpensive choices at the counter service stop “next door” – Pepper Market. Throughout this whole last trip, however, Maya Grill was packed each night!

For our part, we “hemmed and hawed” as to whether we, ourselves, should stop in and dine at Maya Grill, and, I think we might have made the wrong choice in staying away (again) during this trip. It wasn’t until our last morning in Disney that we found out about the menu change!

I have to admit that we haven’t visited Maya Grill for quite a while. Looking at this menu, though, we’ll definitely stop in on our next stay at the resort. Enjoy!

Note:  I’ve included pics from both the sign out front as well as the actual menu.  The shots of the sign came through much clearer.  The menu was laminated, so it was a challenge to obtain clear, crisp pictures.  As always, please click on the photos to read the “fine print”!

  1. I, too, must confess that I’ve never stopped in during any of my Coronado stays. Perhaps next time! Though, I can tell you right now that my husband will have a problem with a restaurant that uses the Papyrus font on its menu sign! 🙂
