One might think that World Showcase Lagoon is surrounded by 11 large torches – one for each country in residence around the 1.2 mile perimeter of Epcot’s man-made lake.  At least, that’s what I thought.  Like me, though, this one stumped all but seven of us.  20% of us right – 80% of us wrong.  This one was too tough!

In actual fact, according to Wikipedia, ‘the lagoon is surrounded by 19 torches signifying the first 19 centuries of the common era.  Furthermore, “Illuminations: Reflections of Earth” culminates in the show’s huge rotating globe opening like a lotus blossom to reveal a 20th torch which represents the now-completed 20th century.’
