Well, aren’t we?
I have to admit … I was sorely tempted to hop back on over to Epcot. You see, I have some pretty good stuff lined up in the old publishing queue! But, you have Mrs. All in WDW to thank for anchoring me squarely in front of Cinderella Castle. So, lucky for you, we’re staying around “The Most Magical Place On Earth” for a few more days.
Boy, do I have a poll for you! As you all know, the Magic Kingdom is divided into six themed “lands”. Are you into pirates and jungles? Is it the cowboys and the American “old west” that you are anxious to see? Do science fiction, rockets, and aliens get you all charged up? Or, is a world of fantasy more your speed?
Just which one is your favorite?!
And, to add to the fun, I’m going to break out two additional choices – Cinderella Castle, itself, and Storybook Circus!
And if that’s not enough, in order to make this poll just a little bit more unique than usual – well, in comparison to our usual fare, that is … you get to vote for two! That’s right! Pick your two favorites!
Go ahead – cast your votes! The top vote-getter will be named the “winner”.
What a fun idea! I love it how Magic Kingdom ties together ‘lands’ that wouldn’t normally go together. Only Disney could put the old west and the future in the same park, and still have a cohesive experience.
Does it suggest that Disney hasn’t quite accomplished what it set out to do with “New Fantasyland” given that the two involved “lands” in the poll (Storybook Circus and Fantasyland) didn’t have stronger showings?
It was a surprise to me, to be honest. Maybe not the Storybook Circus part, but Fantasyland’s poor performance at least. I figured that, if people aren’t rushing to Space Mountain at rope drop, they’re dashing to Fantasyland. And, it’s the “new” jewel. Yeah, I was surprised that it didn’t do better. Does it mean Disney has fallen short with this project? I don’t know … maybe the 7 Dwarves will make a difference? Having said this, it was only a mere 13 votes from winning.
Very interesting!
I really love Magic Kingdom, it’s my favorite park.
Your blog is great.
