In the past, I’ve avoided Germany’s potato pancakes.  No reason, to be honest, other than that I’m very partial to the ones my dad makes.  Having said that, I gave both of Bauernmarkt’s recipes a try this year.

Starting with their Potato Pancakes with House-made Apple Sauce, I have to say, I was quite impressed.  The apple sauce was tart and tasty.  The cakes, themselves, were thick, flavorful, and well prepared.  Look delicious, don’t they?
