We have a champion!
After three days of voting, Le Cellier – Canada’s exceedingly popular steak house – fends off the ‘pizza-and-pasta attack’ of Via Napoli to become the All in WDW Readers’ Favorite Epcot Table Service Restaurant! Are we really surprised?
According to Disney, World Showcase’s home of tender steaks, fresh seafood, and cheesy poutine fries “… recalls the wine cellars of …
… two of the grandest château-style hotels—Fairmont Le Château Frontenac [in Quebec City, Quebec] and Fairmont Château Laurier [in Ottawa, Ontario].”
If you haven’t been to Le Cellier yet, you need to go and enjoy their signature dishes. We would recommend the Canadian Cheddar Cheese Soup for an appetizer, the “Le Cellier” Mushroom Filet Mignon for an entree, and, if you have room for dessert, you should choose the maple crème brûlée.
In fact, I can’t rave enough about the Mushroom Filet Mignon. On my Top 5 list of filets that I have personally enjoyed, the steak, itself, is outstanding. The wild mushrooms and risotto, however, really launch this dish into the stratosphere! Yum!
There’s a lot of controversy as to which restaurant in Walt Disney World offers the best steak – with Le Cellier, Yachtsman Steakhouse, and Shula’s Steak House usually leading the charge. I have to admit, I personally like Shula’s just a little bit better than Le Cellier’s, but Coach Don’s margin of victory over Canada is very, very slim. It’s the mushrooms and risotto, I’m telling you! They are out of “The World” and out of this world!
Oh, and if you haven’t already heard … you’ll need to fight your way into obtaining an Advanced Dining Reservation (ADR) for a seat at Le Cellier. This “wine cellar” is POPULAR! If you want our advice, go there for lunch. To our experience – it’s the same food with less waiting!
Congrats, Le Cellier! I knew you’d win!
Wow! Only 4 votes separated Le Cellier from Via Napoli!
I soo want to try Le Cellier one day.
It sure was a tight race!
Poor Coral Reef. Never gets any love in reader’s polls.
It was doing well, there, for a while, but then …
I completely underestimated Garden Grill. Its performance really surprised me.
