“Pandemonium for everyone!” I’m quoting from Walt Disney World’s own web site, of course.
It’s ” … a multi-sensory experience featuring audio, video, olfactory, and Audio-Animatronics special effects.” Huh? What? Where?
Can you believe that, in all of our years of visiting Mickey’s Magic Kingdom, Mrs. All in WDW and I had never experienced Stitch’s Great Escape? Well, we remedied that on our most-recent trip to The World.
And, having done so, we realized that the experience brought this important question to mind … which fate does Stitch really deserve – rehabilitation or elimination?
Hmm. Being assaulted by a maniacal alien in the pitch dark? No. I’m sorry, “Stitch fans” – and, I know you’re out there – this attraction is definitely not “our thing”.
So, what’s this “rehabilitation or elimination” thing all about? Well, if your new to All in WDW, it goes like this …
Welcome to the The Walt Disney Company, my friends! I hope you are enjoying your “career” in Disney’s design and development division – Walt Disney Imagineering!
As you know, WDI is responsible for the creation and construction of Disney theme parks worldwide, and we need your help!
Tap into your creativity. Imagine that you’re an … Imagineer! Yes! In fact, in today’s case, you’re a “re-imagineer”!
Stitch’s Great Escape. Should we rehabilitate? Give it a bit of a facelift, maybe? Should we eliminate? Replace it altogether? Or, should we leave it alone?
Your task, today, is a two-part job. First, what’s your vote? Second, if you want to rehabilitate, what do you suggest we do? If you want to eliminate, what should take its place? What’s your “Project Plan”?
Leave your comments on this post, on Facebook, or on Twitter, my friends!
This is what we do, folks. It’s Imagineering. It’s “Re-Imagineering”! We need your help!
I’m definitely on the “eliminate” side for this one. We saw Stitch’s Great Escape the first time we went to WDW, and then we’ve never seen it again. I’ve heard that the old Alien Encounter attraction was better, but I’d rather see something new and exciting in there.
Us too!
I think you should return it to its original glory of alien encounter but updated, similar to what happened at the Tiki Tiki room.
Thanks, Anthony!
Eliminate! I would replace it with some a Big Hero 6 /Sanfransokyo themed attraction. Or, maybe..something based on the Tomorrowland movie, if it ends up being good.
Great ideas!
