Walt Disney World Construction? It’s Walt’s Fault!

Welcome, my friends!  Welcome to an All in WDW milestone … our 1,000th post!  1,000?  Yes.  1,000.

As I sorted out what to write today, I kept asking myself what All in WDW is about.  Why do I do this?  Well, I settled on “dreams”.

Bear with me for a minute …

We all hate construction, don’t we?  I mean, face it.  Imagine this – you’re driving down the highway and you run into a 10 mile long “demolition” zone.  Frustrating.

Now, pretend you’re on your way to Walt Disney World.  Infuriating!

How about construction at Disney?  There’s plenty of it to see nowadays, that’s for sure.

Downtown Disney (uh, Disney Springs).  Animal Kingdom.  Epcot.  The Polynesian has seen the light at the end of the tunnel, at least.

You know, when you think about it, the only good things about construction – Disney or otherwise – are the results.  Like …

Just a few of the great additions that have recently appeared in our – Disney – lives!

We must remember that construction is born from someone’s dream, and, although we might not understand their vision, it will likely work out for the best in the end.

I need to remember that when I think of the Maelstrom to Frozen transformation, I guess.

Anyway, I have embraced one hidden “gem” in Disney’s construction (er, refurbishment) addiction.  It has been in our plain sight all along!  Walt’s words!

Walt's Words - Dreams

Walt Disney told us that, “All of our dreams can come true if we have the courage to pursue them.”  Also, “The way to get started is to quit talking and begin doing.”

So, what is All in WDW about?  A dream.  My dream.  I can’t make my true dream – to live in Orlando – come true quite yet.

All in WDW is my effort to bring Walt’s World to you, but, what I have begun to realize is this … it’s also my first step towards making my own dreams come true.

Have a great Monday, my friends.  Today, may you make – or begin to make – your own dreams come true!
