On a recent stroll through World Showcase, I realized that Mrs. All in WDW and I haven’t been to Epcot’s Spice Road Table since 2014! Wow.
The only reason I bring that up is that our first visit there was utterly phenomenal! Pop back to this “recon” to see why.
Since then, though, we’ve been quite disappointed by what Morocco has done to their menu. To see my first “take” on that sentiment, click back to this post.
First, they’ve completely dropped their Sampler options. That’s too bad. A little taste of everything was an attractive thing.
Second, they’ve made, what we thought was, their best plate unaffordable! We really loved their beef and chicken Mix Grill Skewers.
Originally served for $12 (see picture above), it’s now part of Spice Road’s entree menu at the lofty price of $29.99. Yikes!
Sure, they’ve added rosemary roasted potatoes to the dish, but I’ve Googled pictures of the new entree. The meat is served with the same portion size as the $12 version!
My friends, there are a lot of great places to eat in Epcot. Just for comparison, check out any of these Rose & Crown alternatives …
- Bangers and Mash – $19
- Fish and Chips – $21
- Grilled New York Strip Steak and Fried Fish – $33
Better value than two skewers at $29.99? You decide. We have.
Look, Spice Road Table remains a great place to enjoy Illuminations. But, Rose & Crown is a fantastic spot as well. For our part, we “vote” for the Rose. You?
