Good morning, folks! Let’s see a show of hands. Who, here, has been to The Hollywood Brown Derby in Disney’s Hollywood Studios? Ah, I see you out there!
OK. So, who has found that experience to be very enjoyable but quite expensive? Yeah, I thought so. It’s not a cheap venue, that’s for sure.
My friends, do you crave the Derby’s delicious-ness but wish that they offered a much more economical alternative? Well, welcome to The Hollywood Brown Derby Lounge!
The “lounge”? It’s Hollywood’s relatively-new, outdoor spot for having some “fun in the sun”! It’s a perfect place to relax, eat, and drink in all of Hollywood’s sights and sounds.
In fact, Doug Davis did just that. Pop back to Episode #303 of our podcast. As Doug waited for his family to join him, he pulled up a chair and took in some of the park’s “streetmosphere”.
He also dined on the lounge’s Derby Sliders. One mini-sandwich presented Wagyu Beef with Cognac-Mustard Aïoli, Smoked Gouda Cheese, Bacon, and Avocado (right).
The other slider was comprised of Duck Confit, Taleggio Cheese, Chipotle Vegetable Slaw, Sweet Onion-Orange Conserve, and Crispy Leeks (left). Both were phenomenal!
Armed with a wide selection of Small Plates, The Hollywood Brown Derby Lounge offers a much-more affordable way to enjoy this iconic Studios Table Service restaurant.
Does Doug recommend it? You bet he does! Hey, don’t take my word for it. Go back and listen to the show! He’s still raving about his experience!
