Good morning, everyone!
As we voted our way through Round 1 yesterday, I received a Tweet from @davemcb1897. That’s Dave McBride – the owner and webmaster of JamboEveryone.com. He said, ‘I would think this is a layup for the monorail.’
Well, if you go by Round 1’s results, I think he might be right on target. The monorail trounced the competition in Group #2. My only thought, however, is that a lot of us figured Haunted Mansion for a ‘shoe-in’ winner of the Magic Kingdom poll last week too. In other words, it isn’t over until it’s over. I Tweeted back to Dave, “Might be the MK ferry makes a run, though.” We’ll see. The only surprise for me in Round 1 was that …
… the Magical Express to WDW squeezed past the Friendship Boats. I do love that “magical” ride to property. In fact, the bus’s passage under the famed WDW gate does get me close to hyperventilation with excitement, but that trip is a one-time-per-visit experience. You can ride those Friendship Boats over and over again! They would have rounded out my Top 4.
Oh, and hey! I don’t want to rush past Dave and his outstanding web site. When I see something good, I want to make sure you know about it. Please go over and take a look at JamboEveryone.com. Started five years ago, it is a web site devoted to Disney’s Animal Kingdom and was Dave’s dream project. Complete with a resident wildlife expert (Safari Mike), Dave does a great job of covering Disney’s largest theme park. Just the pictures alone are fantastic! Jambo Everyone covers AK’s attractions, dining, and entertainment in great detail. In fact, they even provide ratings! I was especially interested in learning more about the many entertainment options offered throughout the park as I, myself, wasn’t all that familiar with them.
And, it doesn’t stop there! I was most impressed by Jambo Everyone’s ‘Conservation’ page. In Dave’s own words, “The best way for all of us to help save our beloved wildlife is by helping those who are dedicated to making a difference. We encourage all of our readers to help the above organizations anyway you can.” There are links to efforts to save rhinos, gorillas, cheetahs, macaws, and zebras. Have I told you lately how much I love those zebras? I just love those zebras! Hey, when I stopped by to visit, I even found some of those friends of mine on Safari Mike’s page – Hartmann’s Mountain Zebra.
Check them out!
Now, back to the voting! The final round is here … what is the All in WDW Readers’ Favorite WDW Transportation?
