On our last trip to Walt Disney World, Mrs. All in WDW and I dropped by Disney’s Polynesian Resort to see “what’s up” with all the construction.
We took a lot of shots – including a “Dining Recon” breakfast visit to Capatain Cook’s – but this NEW quick service came as a big surprise. No Dole Whip at Capatain Cook’s? No problem! Welcome, Pineapple Lanai!
Well, it wasn’t open yet as it was breakfast time, after all. Too bad, too. I’d have some Dole Whip for breakfast. Couldn’t you? I mean, we’d drink pineapple juice with our bacon and eggs, wouldn’t we?
An outdoor venue, there looks to be a fair amount of seating.
In Captain Cook’s, you used to be able to “dole” yourself out a healthy-sized portion of Disney’s iconic pineapple soft-serve. Now, a friendly Cast Member will take care of it for you at this quick service window.
Of course, all Captain Cook’s served was the soft-serve itself. The Lanai sports a bit of an expanded offering. Look! A float!
You want an infamous Dole Whip without buying an expensive park ticket into Disney’s Magic Kingdom? Then, stop by the Poly! There’s a ton of construction going on, but the Pineapple Lanai is ready and waiting!
It’s waiting to “soft-serve” you some delicious ice cream!
