Happy New Year, WDW Fans! Let The Fireworks Begin!

Welcome to New Year’s Eve, my friends!  2017 is mere hours away.  A brand new year of big Walt Disney World events is just around the corner!

Before we start sending up bottle rockets, though, let me step back to this week’s polls.  We ran two.  First, I asked, “[W]hat are your favorite Epcot Holiday Entertainers?”

Well, it seems that these three have captured your collective fancy …

  • Voices of Liberty (The American Adventure)
  • Father Christmas (United Kingdom)
  • Sigrid and Julenissen (Norway)

All great choices.  We enjoy them too!  Next, we engaged in a slight bit of “re-imagineering”.  Our task?  We were asked to “hire” three new narrators to perform Epcot’s famed Candlelight Processional!

We should all work in Disney’s Human Resources department.  Our selections were outstanding!  Given our wishes, these superstars are gainfully employed …

  • Ellen Degeneres
  • Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson
  • Jim Parsons

I don’t know about you, but I can’t wait to hear The Rock and Sheldon share the story of Christmas with us all!

One last thing … a few words back, I noted that we’re about to embark upon a “… brand new year of big Walt Disney World events.”

For me, there’s nothing that’s upcoming that is bigger than this … Pandora – The World of Avatar – is set to open this coming Summer!

Soon, we’ll all be able to enter into ” … the base camp of Alpha Centauri Expeditions, the eco-tour group that is preparing Pandora for future explorers and adventure seekers.”  I can’t wait!

Folks, on behalf of All in WDW and the WDW Main Street Podcast – from Doug, Dennis, John, and myself – have a Happy (and safe!!) New Year!

Now!  Can we light up the sky in celebration?  Of course!  Send up the fireworks!

WDW Main Street – Episode #317 – Year End Review!

Doug, Dennis, and John discuss a very busy 2016 at Walt Disney World!  Did the topic of “Express Bus Service” come up yet again?!

In addition, John visited The Boathouse for Christmas Eve.  Did he have their acclaimed Firecracker Shrimp for dinner?  How was his visit?

Re-Imagineering “Candlelight Processional”? No Chance! Or, Is There?

Oh, don’t get excited, my friends.  Let me make this clear … I am not proposing that we re-imagine Epcot’s famous Candlelight Processional!

A beautiful event, as narrated by Whoopi Goldberg and Edward James Olmos, we’ve been lucky enough to enjoy this wonderful performance a number of times.

However, as 2016’s “season” comes to an end, can’t we play “make believe” just a tiny little bit?  Please?  C’mon, you’ll love it!

Baseball “Hall of Famer” Cal Ripken, Jr. appears tomorrow night for Epcot’s final presentation.  He concludes a list of narrators that also involved:

  • Stephen Curtis Chapman
  • Neil Patrick Harris
  • Whoopi Goldberg
  • Edward James Olmos
  • Robby Benson
  • Meredith Vieira
  • Jim Caviezel
  • Joe Morton
  • Ming-Na Wen
  • Jodi Benson

Let’s imagine for just a few moments, though, that three of the above entertainers have already informed Disney that they won’t be able to return in 2017.

What a dilemma, eh?  How to replace them?  Well, Disney tells us that “applications” for the three vacant positions have poured in by the hundreds!

Well, that’s where the truly great news comes in, folks!  Today, it’s our job to choose the replacements!  Yes, you heard me.

Below, make your THREE selections!  Which three of these twelve entertainers would you like to hear narrate Epcot’s keystone holiday event!  Pick three, fans!

Too Late for Holidays Around the World at Epcot? No Way!

Good morning, my friends!  How have you been?  Did you have a great Christmas break?  We certainly hope so!

Sorry for the lengthy absence.  To be honest, I needed a bit of rest, myself.  In addition, as you know, spending time with family is important, and I prioritized my opportunities!

Having said that, I’m not quite ready to let go of WDW’s Christmas just yet.  For instance, let’s visit Epcot’s Holiday Entertainers one more time, shall we?

From mariachis to Father Christmas, himself, World Showcase is packed with story and song.  My question, today, is simple.  Your task is equally easy.

Of the choices presented, below, what are your favorite Epcot Holiday Entertainers?  In this poll, you can make THREE choices!  Yes, three!

Go ahead, folks!  VOTE for your favorites!  One of these will become the WDW Fans’ Favorite Epcot Holiday Entertainer!
