“Dining” Recon: Spice Road Table

The blog-o-sphere exploded a few weeks back when it was announced that a brand new restaurant, called Spice Road Table, is going to be built in Epcot on the shore of World Showcase Lagoon and in the Moroccan pavilion.

According to A.J. Wolfe’s Disney Food Blog, “The new restaurant will combine 120 outdoor terrace seats with 60 indoor seats to offer guests a new option for dining in … World Showcase (and another amazing view of Epcot’s Illuminations fireworks show).”

“The menu will include tapas, small plates, olive oils and ingredients, and great wines representing specific Mediterranean countries. Guests will be able to order several dishes from the same country or mix and match to enjoy several different flavors and influences,” according to A.J.’s sources. We would have to confess that we haven’t, as yet, gotten up the nerve to try …

… Restaurant Marrakesh or Tangierine Cafe, but maybe Spice Road Table will get us on the “road” to “The Western Kingdom” (Morocco).  In the meantime, here’s what you’ll find if you go looking for Spice Road Table today! Walls, walls, and more walls!

Hmm. Does not fit with Moroccan architecture. LOL.

I'll bet we could see what's going on in there if we could climb that lonely tree!

  1. The Restaurant Marrakesh is my favorite place to eat in Epcot. It’s beautiful inside, with mosaics and elaborately carved plasterwork. The food is delicious and vegetarian-friendly, and the desserts are fantastic. Adding a second restaurant on the Lagoon for more Illuminations viewing spots is a great idea.
