Get Your Frozen Margaritas, Folks! “Food Festival” Recon: Jardin de Fiestas!

The world of margarita lovers moaned in despair a few weeks ago when Disney revealed that the Mexico Pavilion’s Margarita Kiosk had served its last drink.

You crave Lime, Strawberry, Mango, and Fiesta Frozen Margaritas?  Gone.  So sad.  Sorry, folks.  Who says that the party has to end, however?

In fact, who says that Epcot’s “Food” & Garden party has to end?  My friends, Jardin de Fiestas, Mexico’s Flower & Garden Festival Outdoor Kitchen lives on!

Of course, their frozen margarita menu is much more limited than that of Mexico’s infamous, retired kiosk.  Jardin just serves Lime.  They do supply two interesting “Rocks” versions, though.

Actually, to me, the kitchen’s food offerings were of much more interest.  In 2016, with so much going on in our “real” lives, we only made it to Epcot’s Spring food festival once.

It was really exciting, therefore, to see an Outdoor Kitchen as we entered World Showcase!  Naturally, we tried both items!

We found the Chilaquiles de Pollo to be “Just OK”.  Featuring seasoned chicken, but heavily laden with tomatillo sauce and queso fresco, the chips were quite soggy.

On the other hand, their Pork Belly Taco was delicious!  It was a small portion for the price ($5.75), but it is Jardin’s dish to sample!  “Must Have”!

Folks, if you’re missing your frozen margaritas, stop by Jardin de Fiestas.

Sure, your choice is limited, but it will be cold and refreshing, nonetheless.  And, while you’re there, grab some pork belly.  It’ll hit the spot!

    • Not in the same location, but it seems to make sense that it was left open in light of the fact that the Margarita Stand was closing. With La Cantina nearby, I can’t think of a better reason to keep it open.
