Welcome Back to the Pub! Our Weekly News!

Howdy, pub fans!  As the Main Street crew gears up to record yet another exciting episode of Disney news, please pop back to last week’s show.  I join Doug Davis and John Peters at the Pub as we discuss, among other things, Rafiki’s Planet Watch, Port Orleans-Riverside, and, of course, Food & Wine!

Most important, however, where have I been “hiding” these past 6-9 months?  Plus, how quickly can I get Doug onto an emotionally-charged, high energy rant?  Can I do it twice?  I still “got it”, folks!  Listen to the show at …

Get Your Frozen Margaritas, Folks! “Food Festival” Recon: Jardin de Fiestas!

The world of margarita lovers moaned in despair a few weeks ago when Disney revealed that the Mexico Pavilion’s Margarita Kiosk had served its last drink.

You crave Lime, Strawberry, Mango, and Fiesta Frozen Margaritas?  Gone.  So sad.  Sorry, folks.  Who says that the party has to end, however?

In fact, who says that Epcot’s “Food” & Garden party has to end?  My friends, Jardin de Fiestas, Mexico’s Flower & Garden Festival Outdoor Kitchen lives on!

Of course, their frozen margarita menu is much more limited than that of Mexico’s infamous, retired kiosk.  Jardin just serves Lime.  They do supply two interesting “Rocks” versions, though.

Actually, to me, the kitchen’s food offerings were of much more interest.  In 2016, with so much going on in our “real” lives, we only made it to Epcot’s Spring food festival once.

It was really exciting, therefore, to see an Outdoor Kitchen as we entered World Showcase!  Naturally, we tried both items!

We found the Chilaquiles de Pollo to be “Just OK”.  Featuring seasoned chicken, but heavily laden with tomatillo sauce and queso fresco, the chips were quite soggy.

On the other hand, their Pork Belly Taco was delicious!  It was a small portion for the price ($5.75), but it is Jardin’s dish to sample!  “Must Have”!

Folks, if you’re missing your frozen margaritas, stop by Jardin de Fiestas.

Sure, your choice is limited, but it will be cold and refreshing, nonetheless.  And, while you’re there, grab some pork belly.  It’ll hit the spot!

The Many “Faces” of Dole Whip!

After last week’s phenomenal performance in our All in WDW Readers’ Favorite Magic Kingdom Quick Service polls, I felt compelled to give everyone’s favorite frozen treat a little bit of love.

After all, it’s Monday!  Who wouldn’t want to start off a week with Dole Whip!  Yum!  My friends, please devour the many “faces” of Dole Whip!  Dole Whip after Dole Whip after Dole Whip!  Wow!

Four Parks, One World? Four Parks, ONE Day!

In case you missed all of last Saturday’s “shenanigans”.  Here it is … all in ONE place.

We woke up with a challenge on our minds.  We had never tried to tackle all four WDW parks in one day.

So, we sketched out a very loosely-defined plan and took off for the TTC.  A tram ride from the Simba section and a shivering journey on a ferry later, we were in “The Kingdom”!

Here are those links …

The only thing we haven’t shared, as yet, is our “brunch” at Gaston’s Tavern.  That will come soon.  It was our first visit … other than a serving of LeFou’s Brew some time ago.

After we returned from “orbit”, it was time to …

“Four Park” Flash Report! – Epcot

So, what did we accomplish in Epcot?

Well, we visited the Food & Wine Festival Center and secured a Vinylmation for a dear friend.

We sampled two of the best dishes at Epcot’s Food & Wine festival one last time. Uh, yes. Think Lamb Meatball and Pork Slider.

Finally, we enjoyed a couple of pints at the Rose & Crown pub. No attractions but a great day nonetheless!

On to Hollywood!
