Love Pours Out For All in WDW’s Hall of Famers!

Stunning response, my friends!  Simply phenomenal.  What an outpouring of love you displayed yesterday!  Both of All in WDW’s “Hall of Fame” members have your undeniable support.

Going back to yesterday’s polls – they’re still open if you want to weigh in, folks – I, first, asked you … Frozen Ever After or Maelstrom?  Which do you prefer?

The verdict, as of this morning?  Well, about 61% of you threw your support to the original Norwegian adventure!  Vikings, trolls, and polar bears rejoice!

Next, we welcomed the Celtic rock band – Off Kilter – into All in WDW’s annals of renown.  Do you think they belong in our “Hall of Fame”?

Landslide!  To date, over 76% of you believe that this much-missed Epcot entertainment option deserves their place of honor!  Congratulations, Off Kilter!  Bring them back, Disney!

Thanks, again, for your participation, everyone.  We’ll be back – with more food! – really soon!

Look Out! It’s an Off Kilter Frozen Maelstrom!

Huh!  What in Walt Disney World are you talking about, Bob?  Off Kilter?  Frozen?  Maelstrom?!

OK.  So, it’s not all about food here at All in WDW, now, is it?  We do talk about other stuff!

Take attractions, for instance.  Hey!  All in WDW’s annual attraction polls ‘kick off’  in less than two months!  Can you believe it, folks!

Anyway, back to today’s topics … a few months ago, I got my first chance to enjoy Disney’s new darling – Epcot’s Frozen Ever After.

The “After” … pun intended.

After arriving right at opening ‘bell’, at 11 AM one morning, I avoided the day’s intolerably long line and successfully ventured though queue and ride in under 30 minutes.

My friends, I was unimpressed.  Oh, yes, the effects are fantastic.  For me, however, was it a mind-blowing experience that I cannot wait to repeat? No, it was not.

All right.  All right.  Full disclosure. I’m an admitted Maelstrom fan.

All in WDW’s beloved “Before”. We miss you, Maelstrom!

In fact, on February 24, 2015, I granted that classic attraction entry to All in WDW’s “Hall of Fame”!  To date, it’s still the hall’s only resident.

Well, Disney fans, that fact changes today!  Let me introduce the newest member of All in WDW’s annals of renown!  Please welcome the Celtic rock band – Off Kilter!

Always loved, and very much missed, Off Kilter was formed in 1997 and played in Epcot until their last performance on September 27, 2014.

Disney has tried several replacements since that time, but the buzz amongst us in the “Disney-sphere” always come back to this popular quintet.  Bring them back, Epcot!

Well, Disney might not value you any longer, Off Kilter, but All in WDW does.  Enjoy your spot in our “Hall of Fame”!

Before you go, folks, please weigh in with your thoughts and opinions by responding to the polls below.  Frozen or Maelstrom?  Off Kilter?  What do you think?!

Magic “Our” Way?!

Good morning, World of All in WDW!

In spite of multiple downpours of rain and a plethora of traffic jams, we’ve made it safely back to ‘The ATL’.  We’re also, already, counting down the days until our next trip to Orlando!  Uh, that would be 55 days until we descend on World Showcase to devour Food & Wine 2013!

Speaking of downpours, I have been drenching you with Food & Wine reports for more than a week.  It’s time for a break … for both you and me!

I have been so busy that I haven’t had a chance to pass along this little gem.  Do you remember the last poll we ran?

A few weeks ago, I asked you to vote for your favorite Epcot entertainer.  Little did I know that our quest would catch the attention of Danny and Kevin of the Magic Our Way podcast.  Check out their show from July 26th by clicking this link to hear their in-depth review of our fine work.  The episode is MOW #022.

Do they agree with our choice of Off Kilter as the All in WDW Readers’ Favorite Epcot Entertainer?  Check out their show as they cover Magic “the All in WDW” Way!  You might be surprised!

See you tomorrow, my friends!

Magic Our Way

Epcot Entertainment Rocks!

Well, it must rock.  This was the closest vote we’ve ever had!

Many hours into the voting, three competitors – Off Kilter, JAMMitors, and the Voices of Liberty – were still within striking distance of the title.  It remained that way for much of the day and evening.  Yet, all of them deserved to win.

In the end, it is Off Kilter that squeaks to the top of the pile and becomes the All in WDW Readers’ Favorite Entertainer!

Formed in 1997, Off Kilter is the rock band that performs daily in the Canada pavilion at Epcot.  In, pretty much, their own words, they are a high-energy, progressive, Celtic band that blends many hard-driving musical styles … thereby bringing a whole new twist to Celtic music.  Check out their web site here.

From bass guitar to bagpipes, and from Ireland, Canada, and the U.S., this five-piece outfit can certainly make you stop and listen.  In fact, I can’t tell you the number of times we’ve been walking “around the world” only to point across the lagoon and say, “Listen.  It’s Off Kilter”!

If you want to know more about this World Showcase “stroll-stopping” gem, check out this article on AllEars.net.  It is an older post, but it still gives you great insight into what makes this band … well, Off Kilter!

Congratulations, Off Kilter!  You are the “champ”!

Entertain Us, Epcot! – The Finale

We have arrived at the finale, my friends!  Thanks, very much, for your support these last few days.  Now, there’s just one more tally to complete.  We need to finish one last poll in order to “crown” the All in WDW Readers’ Favorite Epcot Entertainer.  Let’s go out in a flourish!

If you ask me, we’ve done an outstanding job of setting up a diverse and terribly difficult-to-predict “Final Four”.  From Celtic rock to the pinnacle of patriotic a cappella … from the clash of drums (er, trash can lids) to a whistle-tooting, pompous maitre d’, any one of these outstanding acts can ‘take the prize’.

Who will it be?  Don’t be shy.  Vote! Vote!  Vote!  Which one of these Epcot gems most catches your eye!

Stop back tomorrow to see the “coronation ceremony”!
