For those of you new to All in WDW, I should warn you … the Epcot International Food & Wine Festival is pretty big business around these parts.
How so? Well, this web site, itself, was “born” in late 2012 … right after a magnificently delicious tour through World Showcase’s testimony to all that is good with Disney cuisine.
In fact, if you look back to this link, you’ll see that our very-first post was entitled “An Affair with Food & Wine – Prelude”!
Within, you’ll learn a little bit more about how we became geographically able to visit Orlando so often. You’ll also learn how I have Mrs. All in WDW to thank when it comes to Food & Wine. I love the festival. She made it happen!
In the few years since All in WDW hit the “presses”, we have …
- Produced a Food & Wine e-book called The All in WDW FINAL Food & Wine 2013 e-Lists! Download it for a free look back at 2013!
- Constructed multitudes of Pre- and Post- Festival Top “25” lists. Here is 2014’s Final Top 25!
- And, even run series of polls aimed at helping you, our readers, vote your way into designing your very own Pre-Festival menu. Here is 2014’s edition of that “menu”!
- Published dozens and dozens of delectable pictures of food! Including ones of the 2014 All in WDW Food & Wine “champion” – New Zealand’s Lamb Meatball …
Let’s face it, Disney just revealed more than 60 entrees that they’ll be serving at 2015’s “party”. At, let’s say, $4 to $7 per item, do you think you’ll be able to try that many? Your bellies would be as full as your wallet would be empty!
I think it’s fair to say that we all need to carve their menu of 60+ entrees down into something more easy to digest – both physically and financially. Over the next two months, we’ll try to do just that!
How? First off, I’ll bring you along on my journey as I build and rank my own Pre-Festival “target list”.
We have a couple of “games” in mind, as well. Oh, you’ll still get your chance to vote for your own Pre-Festival menu, but we also have something new in the queue. More on that another time.
I might even take another shot at publishing a short .pdf-style e-book. It’ll be something you can take with you to the “party”. A “cheat sheet” of sorts!
So, the “season” has begun, my friends. Food & Wine is finally here! Are you excited? Have you had a chance to dive into the menus in detail?
What dishes catch your palate? Are there old favorites that you’re anxious to eat once again? What new items pique your interest?
The festival, itself, doesn’t begin until September 25th (or, maybe there will be a soft opening on the 24th, if we’re lucky!). In the meantime, let’s get the anticipation in full gear!
You have to love the festival. Let us know what you have to say! Leave us comments! What’s got your appetite burning?
