Coming Soon to Disney Springs … The “Split-Second” Pizza!

What?!  A “split-second” pizza?  What’re you talkin’ about, Bob!

Well, my friends, Blaze Pizza is about to hit Disney Springs.  Soon, Guests will be able to build their own “Fast-Fire’d Custom-Built Artisanal Pizzas”!

Yes, folks!  Design your own pizza.  It’ll be ready to eat in … 180 seconds!  OK.  So, that’s not exactly a “split second”.  Three minutes is pretty darn fast, though.

So, what is this Blaze Pizza all about?  Fortunately, Mrs. All in WDW and I recently ran across one in Bowling Green, Kentucky.

Imagine Blaze as the Chipotle or Subway of pizza.  What an organized operation!  Great teamwork, let me tell you.  Take a look!

When ordering, you have a couple of ways you can go … you can Build Your Own Pizza.

Or, you can order off their menu of already-designed Signature Pizzas.

Whatever you do, it’ll be delicious.  We were really impressed.  In fact, Mrs. All in WDW raved about the quality of our “pie”.

We went veggie.  Black olives, green pepper, onion, banana peppers, tomatoes … all on a bed of mozzarella and spicy red sauce.  Check it out!

Folks, we can’t wait to see Blaze Pizza open up in Disney Springs.  Based on our first-hand experience, we’re sure it will be yet another great addition to Walt Disney World’s ever-growing list of culinary options!

Pan-Asian Noodles Rock!  Let’s Eat Lunch at Kona Cafe!

What can I say?  I really love Kona’s Pan-Asian Noodles.  Seriously, folks, they’re phenomenal.

Of course, as I’ve said many times in the past, it’s their Pan-Asian Noodles with Chicken that I truly adore.  It even made my personal Top 5 WDW meals!

What?!  Yep, it surely did.  Check it out here!  This time around, however, as you’re about to see, I switched it up.

Mrs. All in WDW and I dropped by Kona Cafe on the last day of our most-recent trip to The World.  It’s one of our favorite stops for lunch!

We kicked it off with beer and sushi.   A decent combination?  Yes?  No?  Well, it worked for me.  A nice hearty IPA and a Lava Roll.  Delish!

Loaded with tempura shrimp, bay scallops, and spicy mayo, we’d had the roll before.  It was as good as we remembered.

Most always on better behavior than me, Mrs. All in WDW skipped the ale.  She also went the healthy route and enjoyed a Grilled Steak Salad.  She claims that it was just what she wanted.

Myself, I can’t escape the noodles.  I just can’t.  My entree, this visit, was Pan-Asian Noodles with … Shrimp!

Equally as delicious as its “feathered” counterpart, it was an unadulterated winner.

My friends, we truly do enjoy our experiences at Kona Cafe much more than we do the near-chaos of its neighbor – ‘Ohana.

I know, a controversial statement, to say the least, but, for us it’s true.  The menu has much more variety, and a table is almost-always available.

Kona Cafe.  If you can’t acquire a coveted spot at one of ‘Ohana’s tables, consider Kona as an alternative.  You won’t be displeased.

Reader “Photo Tour”: UNIQLO in Disney Springs

We want to thank an All in WDW reader for presenting us with this brief “photo tour” of one of Disney Springs’ newest gems – UNIQLO!

Dining Recon: Breakfast at The Wave … of American Flavors!

Lately, Mrs. All in WDW and I have become really big fans of Disney breakfasts.  Yeah, if you’ve been following my most-recent posts, you know that already.  Take a look …

Grand Floridian Cafe

Pepper Market

Captain’s Grille

What brought that on, however?  Well, we’ve discovered that if we head off to a resort for a mid to late morning ADR, we can pretty much cut lunch entirely out of our schedule!

Think about it.  Breakfast at 10 to 11 AM.  Dinner at 4 to 5 PM.  Less calories.  Less money!  Perfect!

Anyway, in the breakfast-seeking spirit, we visited the Contemporary Resort’s The Wave … of American Flavors on our last trip.

It was a really good thing we stopped in, too, because I was able to acquire the answer to the question I posed in yesterday’s post.  What cheese fits best in a shrimp omelet?

The answer?  Well, we will see that in a minute.  First?  Let’s start our day with a Bay Lake Bloody Mary!

And, Organic Colombian Press Pot Coffee!

Both delicious!  But, what’s on the menu, eh?  Hmm.  A Breakfast Buffet!  Citrus-scented Brioche French Toast.  Very enticing choices!

I have to admit … I was sorely tempted to try the Wave Signature Sweet Potato Pancakes.  Have any of you?  How are they?  I’d love to know!

When it came down to it, the Florida Rock Shrimp Omelet had to be my choice.  After all, you saw my recipe.  It was a wreck!  I clearly needed a lesson from the “pros”!

So, what cheese fits best in a shrimp omelet?  The Wave’s “design” includes avocado and pepper jack cheese!  That’s it!  Pepper jack!

Before you spout skepticism, my friends, let me tell you this.  The omelet was phenomenal!  Absolutely fantastic!

Accompanied by a lovely and well-loaded Fresh Fruit Plate, that Mrs. All in WDW and I shared, this was one of the best breakfasts I have ever had on property!

The Wave … of American Flavors, folks.  We highly recommend it be one of your choices for breakfast!  Sure, you can choose their buffet, but their shrimp omelet is a definite winner!  Yum!
