Food & Wine ’17! Let the “Fun & Games” Begin! VOTE!

Step right up, folks!  Rejoice, foodies!  The “party” is about to begin!  Food & Wine ’17 is right around the corner!

Well, OK, so the actual Epcot International Food & Wine Festival is still about 40 days away.  Hey!  That doesn’t mean that we can’t crank up our own festivities, though!

I mentioned this a couple of times earlier in the week, but we have a “tradition” around these parts.  This time of year, we start “carving” through Food & Wine.

Why, you ask?  Well, that’s easy.  Epcot is offering over 80 entrees this year.  Can you eat that much food?  At $5-$6 per dish, do you want to spend that much money?

Well, I cannot and do not.  So, I reduce Food & Wine’s overall menu down to a much-more manageable “hit list” of 20 items.  Less calories!  Less dollars!

Of course, we want you all to join in, as well.  That’s where Food & Wine “Fun & Games” comes in!  We’ll help you narrow your choices down to an easier-to-digest menu of your own.

Our goal, my friends, is to use your VOTING talents to create a menu collaboration that any one of you can use to guide your tour through 2017’s World Showcase “buffet”!

What dishes will be included in the 2017 WDW Fans’ Food & Wine Pre-Festival Top 20?  Let’s jump into Day #1 of voting and find out!

You job, today, everyone, will be to select as many as five (5) items from the list below.  The Top 5 dishes will move forward into Round 2.  We’ll be back tomorrow with another “group”, so stay tuned.  VOTE!

Landslide! YOU Have Spoken! We LOVE the Land!

Short, and sweet, today, folks!  Two days ago, I asked you to weigh in on a very “hot” issue.  Living with the Land vs. Ellen’s Energy Adventure.  Which do you choose?

If you didn’t listen to last Sunday’s Main Street episode, here’s some background … Mrs. All in WDW and I support Living with the Land.  Doug Davis and Dennis Conroy say, “We love Ellen!”

When reflecting on the choice, herself, Mrs. All in WDW quipped, “At least I didn’t fall asleep in The Land!”  Yes, folks, Ellen does have a way of lulling some Guests into peaceful relaxation.

So.  What did you say?  Well, when asked, “Which attraction do you think is better?”, 87% of you declared, “Living with the Land!”  87%!

Full disclosure … regardless of their affection for Ellen, Doug and Dennis expected this result.  Will they be surprised?  No.  Will they be disappointed?  Quite possibly.

Having said that, the Guardians of the Galaxy are coming to Epcot, everyone, and given the choice between the two Epcot “icons” in question, the correct attraction is being replaced!

We Say … ‘Clear the Way’ for Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party!

Morning, Disney-verse!  Hey!  I have a question burning on my mind this morning.  What is it, you ask?

Well, we touched on it briefly on last Sunday’s podcast – WDW Main Street – Episode #377 – D23 Expo 2017 & Our Weekly News!  Catch the show!  Loads of news!

Anyway, Disney will be closing the Magic Kingdom at 6 PM to non-partygoers – one-hour before the beginning of every Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party – on event nights.  The question?  Has Doug Davis gotten over that yet?

The answer is simple.  Of course, he hasn’t!  In fact, bringing up the topic is the fastest way to get him onto one of his infamous, ratings-boosting rants!

By contrast, however, in our recent poll, your votes expressed a different opinion on the topic.  What was that?

My friends, overwhelmingly (80% of the vote), you said, “I completely understand.  I don’t have a problem with Disney closing the park at 6 PM to make way for the Christmas party!”

Morale of the story?  Doug, in the spirit of Disney, we all know that Mickey’s going to have his “bash”.  We might as well grin and bear it, clear the way, and let him host his very merry Christmas party!

Our Weekly News! Does it ALL End in Controversy? [Poll]

Howdy, folks!  Welcome to Monday.  Yahoo!  Said with all sorts of sarcasm, of course.  Nevertheless, I hope your weeks go very well.

The latest episode of the WDW Main Street Podcast dropped last night, my friends, and I want to invite you to join Doug, Dennis, special guest Judith Lee of WDW Fan Zone, and myself in the Main Street Pub.

What did we discuss?  D23, of course!  What do we think about the information pouring out of Anaheim?  Well, you’ll have to listen to the show to find out.

WDW Main Street – Episode #377 – D23 Expo 2017 & Our Weekly News!

Oh, by the way, what’s all this “noise” about controversy?  What in the middle of all this wonderful news could have possibly lit up a heated debate between the members of the pub “crew”?

Of all things, the demise of Ellen’s Energy Adventure caused quite a stir!  The Guardians of the Galaxy are coming to Epcot, everyone, and Ellen is getting evicted!

So, what’s the big deal with all of that?  Doug and Dennis are forlorn.  I am overjoyed!  Honestly, no offense to Ellen, but that ride is (was) a clear “one and done”.

Then, the discussion morphed into a debate over which attraction holds much more redeeming value – Ellen or Living with the Land.  They say, ‘Ellen’.  I say, ‘Land’.  What say you?  Let us know in the poll below!
