Do You Wanna “Express” Yourself Across Property?!

Good morning, folks!  As you undoubtedly know, Walt Disney World recently kicked off a new, optional service aimed at allowing Guests to breeze between all four theme parks.

For a fee, this so-called Express Transportation Option takes Park Hoppers directly from park to park.  No muss.  No fuss!

Of course, not everyone has embraced this amenity with both arms.  Even here, at All in WDW and the WDW Main Street Podcast, we’ve been critical of this move as an unabashed Disney “cash grab”.

So, what is this option all about?  Let’s see …

Express Brochure

  • Departs approximately every 30 minutes.
  • Is available each day from 10:00 AM until park closing.
  • Travels directly between each of the theme parks—with no other stops along the way.
  • Lets you off inside the main gate, so you’re in the middle of fun from the moment you arrive!
  • Gives you unlimited transfers between all 4 theme parks—for as long as your Express Transportation ticket is valid.

What’s the cost?

  • Single-day ticket: $15.  Valid for date of purchase only.
  • Multi-day ticket: $24.  Valid for up to 7 consecutive days beginning on date of purchase.

I have to tell you … originally, I was very skeptical.  Since Mrs. All in WDW and I rarely park hop nowadays, this service didn’t make a lot of sense to me.

However, I, then, saw this glowing review by one of our readers:  “Worth every penny.  From inside Epcot to inside Magic Kingdom in 18 minutes flat.

No bag, security, or ticket check after the first one in the morning!  So glad we spent the $24, each, to get it for the week.”

Wow!  Great feedback.  I must admit … it got me to thinking.  No bag, security, or ticket check after the first one?  That definitely is attractive.

So.  Is this option worth the cost?  Hmm.  Well, let me ask you that question.  What say you, my friends?  You’ll find a short survey, below.

Whether $15 for a day or $24 for a week, do you think that Disney’s Express Transportation Option is worth the price?

Ride a Disney Bus(?!) Down the Sassagoula River?

Huh?  What am I talking about, my friends?  A bus on the Sassagoula River?  Clearly, I’ve lost my mind!  Hey, I’m only taking a few seconds to point this tip out because, for us, it did come in handy during a thunderstorm.

Mrs. All in WDW and I can’t be the only Disney fans in the world who didn’t know this, but you can take a bus down the Sassagoula River!  Oh, yes, you can!

Actually, what I should say is that you can take a WDW bus to get to the Disney Springs resorts!  Want to hitch a many-wheeled ride to Saratoga Springs, Old Key West, and/or Port Orleans?  No problem!

Frankly, we had no idea that Disney Transportation provided bus service to the aforementioned resorts, believing that the Sassagoula’s river cruise was the only “game” in town.

Lucky for us, while Downtown’s boats endured a safety shutdown due to thunder, we were still able to find our way “home”!  Don’t get caught in a Disney Springs storm, my friends.  Look for the queues marked 2A, 5A, or 5B!

We Sure DO Love OUR Monorail, Don’t We?!

Oh, yes, we do.  Just take a look at yesterday’s results!

I won’t ask you to look back, but Walt Disney World’s monorail won this “competition” back in 2013 as well.  In fact, back then, it was victorious in a runaway landslide fashion!

New Bus and Monorail Red

Of course, our beloved, colorful “train in the sky” still ran out to an early and insurmountable lead yesterday.  Really, the result was never in doubt.

Having said that, Disney’s naval flotilla took its best shot at toppling the monorail off its perch.  The three watercraft options provided in yesterday’s poll finished in 2nd, 3rd, and 4th places.

It all amounts to this … Disney’s most unique method of cruising through “The Kingdom” is still the All in WDW Readers’ Favorite WDW Transportation!

Be sure to come back tomorrow, my friends!  The poll to “elect” our favorite Deluxe resort kicks off first-thing Monday morning!  Cheers!  And, have a great Sunday!

A Contemporary Moment!

Sometimes a picture is worth a 1,000 words, or, in this case, a million bucks!  It’s simple.  You just have to be in the right place … at the right time!

Take this great shot, for example.  In this instance, the “prize” goes out to our son.  What a fantastic picture!  Great photography!

As we cruised past Disney’s Contemporary Resort, he caught both the hotel and an unexpected special guest appearance by “our” beloved monorail!

It put me to thought.  I’m always finding new ways to capture Disney’s modes of transportation on “film”.  Whether it be buses, boats, or “trains”, they all make for great, colorful pictures.

So … what is our favorite form of WDW transportation?  Well, a little more than two years ago, I ran a poll very similar to the one below.  I think it’s long past time for a repeat.

Are you like me?  Do you love the buses?  Yes, I’m in the vast minority, it seems, but I do love those Disney buses.  But, then again, I adore the monorail.

How about you?  Which one of these is your favorite form of WDW transportation?

In the group below, you can vote for THREE options.  In the end, today’s top vote-getter will be “crowned” as “king”!  Cheers, my friends!  VOTE!

All in WDW on Kingdom Magic Vacations’ Blog!

I was just about to post a ‘Main Street, U.S.A.’ trivia question when Mrs. All in WDW took her eyes off me for just one second.  In fact, she relaxed her guard just long enough for me to dash out of the Magic Kingdom and race towards the buses.

Hey, we’ve been in “The Most Magical Place On Earth” for the better part of two weeks, and I have been looking for a chance to scoot back to Epcot!  Or, to Hollywood … or, to see the animals!  Geez!

Anyway, as she chased after me, I approached the bus station and was confronted by quite a surprising sight …
