Wow!  Really close voting yesterday, my friends!  With the exception of Farm Fresh’s Pickled Beet Salad, every dish got a little of your love.

Want to see yesterday’s results?  Check back here to see which FIVE delicious items still have a chance to win a spot in the 2016 All in WDW Readers’ Food & Wine Pre-Festival Top 20!

Now, let’s jump back into the “kitchen” and “eat” some more of Epcot’s finest cuisine!

My friends, I present TWO groups below.  You can vote for up to FIVE dishes in each group!  In other words, you can cast as many as TEN votes today!

Like yesterday, the Top 5 vote-getters in each group will move forward into Round 2 of our selection process.  Which dishes will it be?

Have fun, folks!  VOTE!  VOTE!  VOTE!  By the way, if you need a description of the items before you make your choices, check out this link!

Welcome to Food & Wine “Fun ‘n Games”! It’s time to VOTE!

Welcome, my friends!  Welcome back to All in WDW and welcome to the 4th Annual All in WDW Readers’ Food & Wine Pre-Festival Top 20!  4th?!  You bet!

Let’s see a show of hands.  Who, out there, remembers last year’s Food & Wine “frolics”?  I’ll give you a hint … you did a lot of salivating and a whole lot of voting!

Great!  I see quite a few of you out there!  Hey!  There’s Doug Davis, Dennis Conroy, and John Peters!  WDW Main Street Podcast in … da … house!

I love those guys!  If you want to hear me talk Food & Wine ’16 on their show, click here!

Now, how many of you are new to All in WDW’s obsession with Food & Wine?  Oooh.  There’s a lot of you “rookies” this year!  That’s outstanding!

Well, to organize my attack on Food & Wine, I annually carve Epcot’s monumental list of Food & Wine entrees down to the 20 dishes that I feel that I will like.

Yes, folks, in the past I used to aim for “25”.  In 2016, however, I’m going to dial back the calories and cost to “20”!  That list will become my 2016 “menu”!

Why do I do this?  Hey!  Have you seen the list of entrees this year!  There’s nearly 70!  I simply can’t eat (or pay for!) that much food!

So, what job do I have in mind for you?  We’re going to construct your Food & Wine Pre-Festival “menu”!  And, we’re going to do it “All in WDW style”!

That’s right!  Polls!  You’ve done it quite successfully the past three years … let’s do it again!  It’s easy!

Hey!  You know what you like!  For example, are you going to pick Grilled Shrimp if you’re allergic to shellfish?  Will you choose Venison if your favorite character is Bambi?

Let’s have some fun making selections in this – the “1st Round” of voting!  Across all of Food & Wine’s marketplaces, which dishes will hit your list?

Which items will you collectively include in the 2016 All in WDW Readers’ Food & Wine Pre-Festival Top 20?!

So, here’s how it works … I present one group below.  You can vote for up to FIVE dishes in each group!  The Top 5 vote-getters will move forward in our selection process!

Bon appetit, diners!  VOTE!  VOTE!  VOTE for your 5!  By the way, if you need a description of the items before you make your choices, check out this link!

Lounge “Recon”: Ale & Compass Lounge

Situated off the lobby of Disney’s Yacht Club Resort, the Ale & Compass Lounge is a small, yet enjoyable, refreshment venue.

Having said that, in spite of being billed as a place to find “fine ale & spirits”, it’s not just a bar!  In the mornings, you can select from quite a wide variety of options for breakfast.  Take a look!

Of course, at its heart, Ale & Compass is a full-service lounge.  Starting at 3 PM each day, it serves up some of the best refreshments on property!

In fact, supported by the Yacht and Beach Clubs’ great table-service restaurants, it even offers its own little menu of appetizer-type “snacks”!

The “Badwich” Pork Sliders really catch our eye.  Of course, who wouldn’t be enticed by a bowl of Cape May Cafe’ Chowder?

My friends, the Ale & Compass is not the biggest, flashiest bar on WDW property.  For Mrs. All in WDW and I, however, we’d say it’s a well-kept secret.  Try it!  You might just like it!

Who’s Screaming for BoardWalk Ice Cream?! We ALL Are!

I scream.  You scream.  Hey!  We all scream for BoardWalk’s ice cream!  Well, we should, that is!  New to Walt Disney World’s BoardWalk?  Ample Hills Creamery!

My friends, their ice cream is heavenly!  Creamy and delicious, it’s worth its stout price.  Look at the choices!

We tried a small serving of their Ooey Gooey Butter Cake.  Wow!  Vanilla ice cream.  Cream cheese?  We’re in!

This small cup was $5.99, but it was, oh, so worth the price.  A great treat on a very hot day!  Ample Hills Creamery!  Go there!  You know you want to!

Dining Recon: Breakfast at Trattoria al Forno

My friends, I think that Mrs. All in WDW and I have found the absolute best breakfast on Disney property.

From the pleasant and relaxing tones of their subtle background music to their fabulous decor, Trattoria’s ambiance is fantastic!

Better yet, their food is outstanding!  Look at the choices!  Where to start … where to start.

From breakfast beverages …

… to Mrs. All in WDW’s choice of their Vanilla-Blueberry Steel-cut Oatmeal with a side of Poached Eggs, Trattoria “scored”.

Myself?  I struggled to decide between al Forno’s Breakfast Sandwiches and their Frittata.

I chose wisely.  I cannot adequately describe the phenomenal flavor of this masterpiece!  Best frittata ever!

Folks, we can’t wait to return!  And, it may be sooner that you think!  Enjoy, Trattoria al Forno for breakfast!  You’ve got to visit at least once!
