The Pop Century “memory” sign dedicated to 1988 makes the claim that an Internet virus jammed up over 6,000 military computers that year.
That same “billboard” also announces that, way back then, the purchase of a Compaq 286 laptop computer would have cost you a cool $5,399. Huh? Over $5k for a computer? Wow! I’ll stick with my 2012-vintage iPad, thank you very much!
