Epcot’s “Sensational Sixteen”! Vote!

Statistics. Statistics. Statistics.  As an old fantasy baseball blogger, I love ‘em!  So, I thought I’d toss some at YOU!  Well, ones that apply to this competition, that is!

  • Total number of attractions: 74
  • Of that 74, number from Future World: 31
  • Number from World Showcase: 43
  • Number of attractions with zero first-round votes: 6
  • Number of first-round votes for The Sum of All Thrills™: 20
  • All other Innoventions attractions combined in Round 1: 25
  • Number of Future World attractions in the Top 32: 13
  • World Showcase: 19
  • Number of Future World attractions in the Top 16: 9
  • World Showcase: 7
  • Top vote-getter in Round 1 (number of votes): 61 (tie between Soarin’® and Test Track®)
  • Top vote-getter in Round 2: 61 (Soarin’®)

Observations?  The Jeweled Dragon Acrobats got two votes in the first round.  But, Reflections of China, Meet Mulan in China, and House of the Whispering Willows got NO votes?  Two votes for China?  Time for a full refurb?  Hmm.  Are you reading this, Disney?

China

And, speaking of refurbs.  With the exception of …

[]

… The Sum of All Thrills™, Innoventions needs a lot of help.  Its ten attractions, combined, garnered 45 votes of support.  In comparison, five first-round group winners would have beaten that total by themselves!  Refurb time?  Complete re-design?  Maybe!

So, there you go!  Our work, thus far!  Hang in there with me, folks!  We have three rounds left, and the choices only get more excruciating from here on out!

Top 2 in each group move on to the “Epic Eight”! VOTE!
