More “Food” & Garden Research Required!

So, I promised you a “Food” & Garden “upgrade” … a response to Guest feedback.  This has to be it.

Do you remember my Flash Report covering The Smokehouse’s Smoked Turkey “Rib”?  I called it a bit on the salty side.  Plus, there wasn’t much meat at all!  About four bites, I’d say.  In the end, it was ‘Just OK’.

Here’s what it looked like on Day 1 of the festival …

Just one "rib"?

Just one “rib”?

Here’s what was presented four days later …

Double the pleasure!

Double the pleasure!

Perfect for sharing, with double the number of “ribs”, this dish is a much, much better value!  Plus, they dialed back the salt.  I think I have said it before, but I’m not a huge fan of turkey.  This ended up being pretty good.

As expected, Urban Farm Eats’ Pickled Beet Salad was a bit on the simple and ordinary side.  Like the festival’s other salads, however, it had a refreshing quality.

In spite of its mushrooms, I was pleasantly surprised by France’s Parisian-style Dumplings.  In fact, we sampled it while walking World Showcase with friends, and one of our group pretty much declared this dish “best in show”.

I have to say, I was really impressed with the presentation and, more importantly, the taste.  Spoiler alert, but this little gem’s going to slip itself into the Final Top 15!

Now, certainly that’s got to be the end of “Food” & Garden, no?  Uh, no.  Did I mention that we’ve also slipped in some desserts?

What?  How did we have room for desserts?  Oh, who knows, but stop back tomorrow!  And, bring your sweet tooth!
