What’s Up With This Nutella?

Hmm. Nutella … a hazelnut chocolate spread, manufactured by Italian company Ferrero, that was introduced in 1964.

Chocolate.  You know, I really love peanut butter. If Sleepy Hollow Refreshments made their fruit waffle with peanut butter, it would be my slam- dunk winner. Nutella? It’s the chocolate. I’m not a huge fan of chocolate, to start with, but a chocolate spread?  I tried it.  It didn’t blow me away.

For me, I would very much prefer the more savory option – the Sweet and Spicy Chicken. Mainly, it’s because I would be much more likely to stop by for one of Sleepy Hollow’s delights for lunch. Weird, isn’t it, since it’s a waffle?  In my mind, the Nutella and Fresh Fruit waffle definitely makes a better option for breakfast … or for dessert.  I’m rarely in a park for breakfast, and I’m not a huge fan of dessert either.

Having said all that, the majority has spoken, and the Nutella and Fresh Fruit version takes the prize. It is our Favorite Sleepy Hollow Refreshments Waffle!

Oh, and before I leave … the poor Ham, Prosciutto, and Swiss waffle?  With three votes of support, it never had a chance.  Is that a surprise?  Are we viewing it as a simple ham and cheese sandwich on a unique type of bread?  Maybe, but it clearly can’t compete with the two other, more unique, options.

Mmm … Waffles! Sleepy Hollow Waffles!

So, we’re still bumping around “The Most Magical Place On Earth” – mainly because Mrs. All in WDW says I’m not allowed to go back to Epcot yet – and it occurred to me that I need a chicken waffle.  Well, at least I would love to have a chicken waffle.

Anyway, a month or so back, my brother calls me and says he’s eating these great new Lay’s potato chips – Chicken & Waffles flavored.  You’ve undoubtedly seen the promotion they just ran …
