When it comes to this post, I have been struggling with what to write for weeks. Maybe even months. But, when all is said and done, it comes down to two simple words. Two words that you’ve heard (or read) me say before … THANK YOU. Yes. Thank you.
Today, All in WDW reaches its 1st birthday – its anniversary. One year ago, today, I published “An Affair with Food & Wine”. Yeah, big surprise. With its very first post, All in WDW was born with “the festival of all festivals” in mind.
Flashing forward, one year later, I can truly say that this “Disney year” has been an absolute blast – for BOTH Mrs. All in WDW and myself. We’ve done SO much. Made so many new friends. Experienced so much of Disney’s magic. It’s hard to put in words how we feel. There are so many of you to thank.
ALL of you who have faithfully followed our posts on a daily basis. Everyone who has …
… re-Tweeted our Tweets. Those that have Liked our posts in Facebook. All of you who have Liked All in WDW on Facebook, Google, Pinterest, and Tumblr, THANK YOU!
If you voted in one of our polls, tried your mind at our trivia questions, or commented on a post on All in WDW, THANK YOU!
To Rick and Leslie Howard, John Donahue, and Kingdom Magic Vacations, thank you for including us in your world. Our experiences this past Food & Wine, with the posts you graciously published for us, the videos in which you let us guest star, and the evening conversations you shared with us, humble us. THANK YOU!
To A.J. Wolfe and Kim LaPaglia of Disney Food Blog, THANK YOU. We’re honored to have our work grace the pages of your fine blog.
To all our fellow-bloggers that have Tweeted or “Facebook-ed” in our support, THANK YOU! You welcomed us to your community, and we’re grateful.
To ALL of you, bloggers, readers, and Liners (you know who you are!) alike, All in WDW would be nothing without you. THANK YOU!
To Kelli Kopaczynski, our lone guest-poster in year one of our existence, THANK YOU for your time, effort, and words. We look forward to seeing more from you in the future.
We’ve met a number of you amongst the “world” of All in WDW. It was a pleasure. It was an honor. Oh, and when it comes to the “world” of All in WDW, at least one person from 95 different countries has reached out to touch our site over the course of the last year. That number boggles our minds.
By now, you’ve gotten a taste of All in WDW’s slightly new look. I hope you like it. Mrs. All in WDW will tell you that I have agonized over this for weeks. Quite simply, I wanted something that is a little more “me”. I wanted to go to my blog each morning and see color. After all, Disney isn’t “blah”. It is colorful!
I pondered changes ranging from really massive overhauls to ever-so-minor tweaks. In the end, it is fair to say that I chose the “tweaks”, but I fought for weeks to make the shot below our new background. It truly IS my favorite WDW picture … ever. Why?
Well, Mrs. All in WDW and I love Epcot. One of our favorite – and “must do” – attractions is Spaceship Earth. You know we love Food & Wine. I tried to make the monorail synonymous with All in WDW with the first generation of the web site. And, Mickey is “the boss”.
Plus, I stood at the front of Epcot for, what seemed like, ages waiting to take this shot. The addition of this picture, with its symphony of Disney and orchestra of colors, makes me feel that All in WDW has burst into life. It makes me feel that the site is more “me”. You’ll still see more of it in the future. Alas, in the end, I think it was just a bit too much for WordPress to handle, so, for now, I opted for a healthy splash of “monorail” blue.
The web site’s tag-line has changed. What was It’s ALL in WDW! – A fun place to think about “The World” is now It’s ALL in WDW – All about “The World” … and much, much more!
Don’t panic! All in WDW will ALWAYS be a fun place to think about “The World”. But, in year two, I want to open the doors to much, much more. Oh, the vast majority of what you see will still be dedicated to Walt Disney World, but why not learn more about the Disney-verse – as well as other things – while we’re at it?
My friends, I thank you on behalf of my wife and I for all of your support over the last year. We look forward to meeting more of you. We look forward to bringing more TO you.
Finally, our door is always open to your feedback. If you have ideas as to what things you’d like to see, let us know. If you have a poll you’d like to see, reach out to us. We appreciate your participation, and we’re grateful for you sharing a few minutes of your busy lives each day.
All our best from All in WDW … because YOU are the best!
Congrats, Bob! And happy Birthday, All in WDW!
Thank you!!
Congratulations on a great year! Thank you for providing such great reading! I’ve certainly learned a lot more about Disney since I’ve been following it.
I look forward to what the next year will bring!
Thank you, Andrew!!! I really appreciate your support and appreciation!
Bob, I want to thank YOU! It’s because of you I decided to work harder on my blog. I don’t have the following you do, but I shoot from my heart and it gives me an outlet for my Disney thoughts and memories. Keep going, my friend!
Thank you!!! You made my day! It’s a great community – the Disney community. We have to help each other out!
Congratulations and thank you for all the fun this past year!
Thanks, Bethy! You’re welcome! Ready to have some more this year?
I enjoy my everyday sojourn to ALL in WDW … always fresh content, fun to read, and it takes me “there” (my instant link to that “ahhhh” Disney feeling) … can’t wait for all that will come in the next year of existence.
Ahhh … what a great year … love coming by All In WDW each morning to take my mental (sometimes spiritual) sojourn to Walt Disney World. Thanks for all the great writing, excellent pictures, and “free trips” (in my mind, ya’ know) to “the World” … looking forward to the next great year to come!!
Thanks very much! Your comments make the time I spend on All in WDW so worthwhile! Thanks!
