It’s Coming! Get Ready for STK Disney Springs!

When it comes to new dining experiences, Disney Springs is “knocking it out of the park”!  Aren’t they, folks?

Think about it!  I’ve already raved about The BOATHOUSE (link) and, in fact, I have another piece queued up for a future date.

I’ve covered Jock Lindsey’s Hangar Bar via Photo Tour (link) and Video (link).  There, also, I have another post in mind.  Imagine what you would see if you got a peek inside the pilot’s Log Book!  Fun, eh?

Finally, my recon of Morimoto Asia (link) even caught the restaurant’s attention!

“Thank you, All in WDW, for stopping by and sharing your experience.  We enjoyed all of your photos and wanted to share with our Facebook community!”  WOW!

What’s next, then?  Well, my friends, get ready for STK Disney Springs!

The one thing that you have to say about Disney is that they work fast.  In other words, these shots, only a few weeks old, might be way out-dated by now!

Anyway, what is STK all about?  The best way for me to answer that question is to turn closer to home … to STK Atlanta.  For a look at STK and their menu, click the link!

Web Site – STK Atlanta

In their own words, “STK Atlanta is not your daddy’s steakhouse.  Don’t expect to find antiques on the walls or a stuffy, old-fashioned atmosphere.

Located in the heart of [Atlanta’s] bustling Midtown, we’re a modern, chic steakhouse for anyone who finds the traditional American steakhouse a tad on the boring side.

We want you to mingle and have fun.  Say hello to your table neighbors.  Dance to the DJ and then hydrate with a cocktail or two.  At STK Atlanta, you’ll get more than a great culinary experience … you’ll get the perfect night out!”

Chic?  Mingle?  Fun?  Dance?  And, the perfect night out?  Sounds like a really happening place, doesn’t it!

Where The BOATHOUSE, Jock Lindsey’s, and Morimoto’s are phenomenal “all day” restaurants, it looks like STK is perfectly aimed at dialing Disney Springs’ night life up a few hundred notches!

We can’t wait!  How about you?

Dinner and a Show! What a Processional Package!

Wow!  What a great response, my friends!  It’s easy to tell that you, too, love the idea of enjoying Epcot’s marquee celebration of the Christmas season.

You know, it comes at no surprise to me that the vast majority of you would choose to experience Disney’s annual holiday Candlelight Processional with a narration by Neil Patrick Harris.

NPH at Processional

After all, two years ago, you voted him your Favorite Candlelight Processional Narrator!  Do you remember that!  Anyway, for me, I went in a different direction.

I guess I just can’t get enough of the Marvel Universe.  I chose Blair Underwood.  He currently plays Dr. Andrew Garner (a.k.a. the Inhuman character Lash) on Marvel’s Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.

Underwood - Shield

When it comes to the preceding dinner, however, I just can’t resist my Bangers and Mash.

In other words, the Rose & Crown Dining Room has to be my selection.

Rose & Crown

Having said that, I completely respect your choices.  In fact, this time around, our favored dining options spanned the field!

Chefs de France.  Via Napoli.  The Garden Grill.  La Hacienda de San Angel  They’re all great restaurants!

Thanks for “playing”, folks!  Great vote!  And, now you’ve made your recommendations!

For those fans out there looking for advice, we suggest that you dine, well, just about anywhere in Epcot!  Just do it on a night that Neil Patrick Harris narrates the show!

Happy Holidays!

Pick YOUR Candlelight Dining Package!

Good morning, my friends!

Have you had the chance to experience the joy of Epcot’s annual holiday Candlelight Processional?  We witnessed the performance as narrated by Edward James Olmos, one year.  It was phenomenal!

Candlelight

In the future, if you ever find yourself in Walt Disney World at the holidays, I would highly recommend that you take the time to enjoy this wonderful celebration of Christmas.

Well, Epcot kicked off 2016’s series of performances just last night.  It got me to thinking …

If we were to schedule another Candlelight Dining Package – a date for dinner and a show – where would we go?  Which narrator would we choose to see?

Then, of course, I started wondering about what you would choose!  So, how about it, folks?  Dinner?  Narrator?  Pick YOUR Candlelight Dining Package!

The Three “Faces” of Disney’s Butter Chicken!

Hello, folks!  Mrs. All in WDW and I recently got an opportunity to meet a family friend at one of our favorite spots – Sanaa at Disney’s Animal Kingdom Villas – Kidani Village.

You know, it’s hard for us to try something “different” when we go to Sanaa.  What I mean by that is, like most Disney fanatics who have eaten at this outstanding restaurant, we just love Sanaa’s bread service.

Their naan is incredibly fresh, hot, and soft.  Their spreads, or accompaniments, are delicious.  We can’t get enough of it.  In fact, we can’t not order it!

Of course, for me, personally, the same goes for Sanaa’s Butter Chicken.  A pretty well-known Indian dish of chicken that is pleasantly drowned in a mildly spiced curry sauce, Butter Chicken tastes phenomenal!

In fact, this dish is so good that Sanaa actually offers two recipes!

First, look to the center section of the restaurant’s menu.  You’ll find a set of options labeled “Potjie Inspired”.  Here, accompanied by rice, you can choose any two main dishes to highlight your meal.

Me?  Well, though all of this section’s entrees look great, I always double-up on Butter Chicken!  Deee-lish!

On this particular visit, Mrs. All in WDW went in a pleasantly different direction.  Under “Spice Route Favorites”, she selected Sanaa’s other Butter Chicken entree!  Way to go, dear!

Served with peas, carrots, rice, shallots, and cucumber, it, too, was very, very good.  In fact, it’s now on my “list” for next time!

Of course, I mentioned that Disney boasts three “faces” of Butter Chicken, now, didn’t I?  How so, you ask?  Well, it just so happens that Sanaa is a pretty inspiring restaurant.  It inspired this 2015 Epcot International Food & Wine dish, at least.

A “abbreviated” but delicious version, to be sure, this particular delight was a festival favorite of mine.  In fact, it earned the #3 spot in my infamous All in WDW Final Top 25!

So, there you have it, my friends.  The Three “Faces” of Disney’s Butter Chicken.  But, wait!  There’s more?!  Yes, folks, there is.  There is one last place at which Butter Chicken hides in Walt Disney World.

To this point, I have walked by the Namaste Cafe food truck in Disney Springs on countless occasions.  Sadly, it has always been before they’ve opened for the day.

They, too, are on my “list”, however.  Why?  Well, they serve Butter Chicken, of course!  One more stop for me to make in the future.  Have they been inspired by Sanaa as well?  I bet they have!

My friends, I have just two words for you … Butter Chicken.  If you find it, you have to try it … even if it’s just once!  It is phenomenal!  And, frankly, I think it’ll leave you wanting more and more!

Dining Recon: Gasparilla Island Grill

Good morning, my friends!  How have you been the last few days?  I had to step away for a bit to “rest and recharge”, but I’m back, and I’m ready for breakfast!

“Standard Disney fare”.  You hear me say that a lot.  You hear other bloggers and podcasters say that a lot, as well.  When it comes to breakfast at most (or all?) WDW locales, however, that’s pretty much the norm.

That’s OK, though.  We all love our Mickey waffles, right?

Anyway, Gasparilla Island Grill at Disney’s Grand Floridian Resort & Spa is one of those, aforementioned, Disney restaurants.  But, it’s “different”.  In fact, it stands just a bit above the rest.

Why?  Well, it’s open 24/7, folks!  Yes, you heard me.  Gasparilla is a bona fide “open all day” Disney Counter Service!

It does, indeed, serve pretty standard fare, of course, but, hey!  Where else in WDW are you going to get a decent, hot, cooked midnight snack?!

Yes, my friends, whether it’s a visit to grab breakfast, lunch, dinner, or an “after hours” bite, this Quick Service is a fantastic stop!  Take a look and enjoy!

Like everything else at the Grand Floridian, Gasparilla's exterior appearance is clean and pristine.

Beautiful day? GREAT outdoor seating!

I decided to enjoy the Croissant Sandwich. It was a bit dry, to be truthful. The hash brown was a side purchased separately.
