Would it be surprising if I reminded you that Pizza Planet owned this competition last year?  Well, maybe “owned” is a strong word.  Check out 2013’s final tally …

To me, and many others, Pizza’s slim victory came as a huge surprise.  After all, as much maligned as the Studio’s Quick Service options are in total, Starring Rolls and its delicious bakery usually get good “grades”.  How could they not have won?

In 2014, only Studio Catering Co. failed to return for this year’s “final dance”.  After being replaced by Backlot Express (by one meager vote in this past Monday’s Round 2!), Catering will “officially” end up missing our Hollywood Studios Top 5.  More details on that little omission tomorrow.

For now, however, DHS has a new “leading lady”!  In, what basically amounts to, a landslide, Starring Rolls Cafe has “taken the cake”!  Er, the Butterfinger Cupcake!  Finally, all is “right” in Hollywood!

When it comes to Starring Rolls, its luscious desserts have always cast a spell on us.  In fact, we have to fight off the temptation to devour one of their Butterfinger Cupcakes each time we take a stroll through the Studios.

Starring Rolls Cafe is a fitting champion.  It always gets good reviews, and, in a “sea” of unsatisfying Quick Service choices, it rises into a … er, starring role.
