Visit Michael Symon’s “Bar Symon”!

Every once in a very great while, I have to indulge myself with a post that has nothing to do with Disney.  But, wait!  Doesn’t Michael Symon have a tie to Disney?

He surely does!  After all, he and his buddies have had an influence on the last two Epcot International Food & Wine Festivals!  Of course, I’m referring to his show – The Chew.

Although I was (very vocally) not a fan of The Chew’s Food & Wine efforts over the last two years, I am still a big fan of Chef Symon.  Hey!  Us Cleveland boys have to stick together!

Anyway, take my advice, if you ever visit C-Town, drop by Michael Symon’s flagship restaurant – Lola Bistro.  The Beef Cheek Pierogi are other-worldly and are a very strong “Must-Do”!

In the meantime, I have another place for you to visit – if you pop through the Pittsburgh or Washington Dulles International airports, that is.

Offering a break from busy airport travel, “meet” Bar Symon!  From award-winning burgers to potato and cheese pierogi with kielbasa, it’s provides another “have to have it” meal.

I got the chance to grab lunch at the Pittsburgh restaurant while on a trip several weeks back.  From a delicious Great Lakes Brewing Company Beer to Chef’s great burgers and fries, I’d visit again and again!  Delicious!

Menu “Recon”: Las Ventanas [Dinner]!

Still not very well known, Las Ventanas at Disney’s Coronado Springs Resort is a small and cozy table service option.  Having said that, even we haven’t found time to stop there as yet!

Why not?  Frankly, we just never seem to be able to pass by Coronado’s Laguna Bar.  Well, what can I say, folks?  You already know that I love my seat at Lago Dorado’s waterside refreshment “post”.

My Seat at Laguna

Anyway, I’d be misleading you if I said we’ve never had a meal from Las Ventanas.  Their kitchen, you see, prepares all of Laguna’s hot food!  Especially …

The Laguna Burger! The absolute BEST burger on WDW property!

The Laguna Burger! The absolute BEST burger on WDW property!

When I look at the restaurant’s dinner menu, however, one thing strikes my eye immediately.  Their Ventanas Burger is my Laguna Burger … only better!  Peppercorn Bacon?  Yum!  It definitely gets my vote!

How about you?  If you were to stop by Las Ventanas for dinner, what would you order?  Let us know in the poll below!

Dining Recon: Beaches and Cream Soda Shop – The Return!

This is the week for revisiting some of All in WDW’s “best and brightest”, I guess.

First, with Disney’s announcement that they will soon be introducing a new refillable, RFID-based mug program called ‘Rapid Fill’, we paid a return visit to the second-most read article in the site’s young life – “Mug(ged) in Disney?”.  The result, “Mug(ged) in Disney … Again?” is now THE most-read post in our history.

Today, we take a trip back to Beaches and Cream Soda Shop!

All in WDW’s “Dining Recon”, from back in February, started the week as our fourth-most read post ever.  Well, we’re back!  Back for another burger and fries, that is!

Beaches and Cream’s menu recently under-went …

Dining Recon: Beaches and Cream Soda Shop

Earlier this week, as we charged through the voting to elect the All in WDW Readers’ Favorite Crescent Lake Table Service Restaurant, I kept thinking about that burger.  What burger?  If you’ve been to Beaches and Cream Soda Shop, you know which one I mean.  You see, back in January, Mrs. All in WDW and I experienced our first-ever dinner at the Beach Club’s “much ballyhooed” ice cream joint, and we loved it!

Prior to this, I honestly felt that the best burger in Disney lived at …
