She was right. I have to say it … she was absolutely right. Again!
When I first saw Sarah’s Top 10 desserts, my reaction was, “What?! Kumquat Pie? You’re kidding me, right?”
Saying, “Here it is! I think I might make a Kumquat Pie for Mother’s Day this year! Yum, yum, yum!”, Sarah introduced her Top 10 as being:
- Kumquat Pie
- Moroccan Pancake (Baghrir)
- Pineapple Dole Whip with Parrot Bay Coconut Rum (and all the other Dole Whips!)
- Chocolate Flan
- Orange Blossom Macaron
- “Piggylicous” Bacon Cupcake
- Lemon Scones
- Beijing-style Candied Strawberries
- Lemon Cheesecake (Torta di Ricotta)
- Puffed Rice Cakes
Sarah added, “The desserts all look so fresh! They remind me of Summer … which, after the Winter we’ve had in Ohio, sounds amazing.
The Kumquat Pie is my #1 solely because of the fact that my mom always called me her “little kumquat”. As a result, I have always wanted to try kumquat. And, who doesn’t like pie?!
The Moroccan Pancake also sounds really tasty!
I cheated a bit and lumped all of the Dole Whips together into one ranking because I love them all! Adding rum just sounds marvelous!”
