Food & Wine ’15 “Flash Report”: Battered Shrimp Taco

Like I said, as you’d expect, Mexico makes a great taco.  They delivered once again.  The shrimp was nice and crispy.  The chipotle mayo was appropriately spicy.  Very good, Mexico! 

  

Food & Wine ’15 “Flash Report”: “Le Cellier” Wild Mushroom Beef Filet Mignon

Done medium (Mrs. All in WDW says it was closer to medium-rare), it tasted great.  I just didn’t find it as tender as I’m used to having in a filet.  Surprisingly, it seemed to be a smaller cut than Canada has provided in the past.

Sadly, not quite as good as last year.  The taste was still there, but the beef was a bit overdone.  Opening Day jitters, I’m sure.

  

Food & Wine ’15 “Flash Report”: Loaded Mac n’ Cheese with Nueske’s Pepper Bacon

As you likely expected, the bacon makes this dish.  Personally, I don’t think it’s as good as last year’s hash.  Having said that, it was worth one buy.
