Food & Wine ’14 “Flash Report”: Mexico

Like China, Mexico was a “tale of two dishes” this year.  In short, the Rib-Eye Taco was a bit of a disappointment.

The steak was a tough.  The roasted chipotle salsa was tame.  Also, corn tortillas just don’t do it for me.

Now, the Shrimp Taco.  As in previous years, it scored … big time!  Perfectly cooked shrimp.  Spicy sauce.  Yum!

I think you know my recommendation.
